Sony Ready To Fight in High End DSLRs

On Tuesday, Sony Electronics announced that the company will be officially competing in the high end digital SLR category by introducing the Alpha 900, which Sony will officially brand as the "α900".

This new camera will be Sony's first camera to feature a full-frame CMOS sensor dubbed "Exmor," a new image stabilization system for the sensor branded "SteadyShot Inside" and is the first digital camera to include two image processors. The new 24.6-megapixel camera is priced at $2999.99 (body only) and will launch with two new lenses, the wide angle SAL1635ZA and super zoom SAL70400G.

Along with dual processors, the D-SLR will use a newly designed pentaprism mirror box. Coupled with the new 35-mm full frame sensor and twin "BIONZ" image processors, Sony says users will see "a wider dynamic range for natural color reproduction and subtle tonal gradations….reduced noise and high-speed transfer of data." At its highest resolution capture, 6048-by-4032, the a900 can take 5 pictures per second.

The new "Steady Shot Inside" system will combat blur that may occur from slight shakes by adapting the company's "Steady Shot" technology to the senor. This is the first camera to feature an image stabilization feature on the camera sensor itself, which will also be outfitted with an anti-dust and moisture system. Even with the added sensor equipment, the DSLR will be lightweight, at only 1 pound and 14 ounces.

Software improvements are also included. A new "Intelligent Preview" will let users get a preview of images and adjust options such as white balance, exposure, and other features that can help fine tune the picture before taking the shot. A new autofocus system will also aid users in getting the best shot by offering a nine point auto focusing system.

Like most Sony media products, the camera will store images to Memory Sticks, but will also accept Compact Flash UDMA and Microdrive. The camera will interface to computers via a USB 2.0 port and will also have a HDMI mini port to play back photos on HDTVs.

The Sony Alpha 900 is expected to be available in November and available for pre-order on September 10.

Sony's new wide angle SAL1635ZA will feature Carl Zeiss glass, a super wide angle (16-35mm f2.8) and be priced at $1,800. The SAL70400G is a 5.7x super zoom (70-400mm f/4-5.6 G) and will be priced at $1,500. Both will be available in January 2009.

iPod 30Gb Spesification

The specifications for the iPod 30Gb video are the following:

File format support includes MOV, MP4, M4V (Apple's DRM-protected video content). The iPod plays H.264 profile (base) video up to 768 Kbps, 320 by 240 pixels and 30 frames per second, so that the MPEG-4 (Simple Profile) up to 2.5 Mbps, 480 by 480 pixels and 30 fps. The stereo audio videos are in 48 kHz LC-AAC format, with up to 160 Kbps. According to Apple, you can more or less than 75 hours of video on the 30 GB model and twice from that of the 60 GB version.

Basically, your own videos and content in the new iPod, May, but you have to QuickTime Pro ($ 29.99 direct) to convert files over the first new iPod export function, depending on codec is that we use To share files. Of course, films, in iMovie and should be promoted, which is apparently well with the new Apple iMac with built-in iSight camera.

There are also several recommendations, which were published online content and the way to get TiVo DVD to iPod. Of course, Apple provides content on the iTunes Music Store, 2000, with music videos, several episodes of five TV shows, six short films from Pixar Animation, and a large number of video podcasts for free.

The iPod photo capabilities remain largely unchanged, but there are now new 3D transitions for slideshows. The largest screen, but do not leave, you will see more pictures than before. We want Apple to support Panorama and look at the pictures. Photo format support one of the largest in the biz, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PSD (Mac only), PNG and BMP

Apple iPod Focus On Audio

Despite Apple, the focus is on audio, the first thing everyone wants to know how video on the iPod. It invites an episode of Lost and some video podcasts from the iTunes Music Store, and, to our great surprise, the visual experience is very comfortable. More than a panorama clear and crisp, though, as with most video game indicated, you can see many artifacts from the compression as ringtone and blockiness in the dark areas.

We do not want to, content with the title or sporting events (the great camera position players would probably be a little too small, not to mention a hockey puck), but everything seems too loud and smooth.

One thing that I really like is that the iPod remembers where you are no longer to see a video to come back any time, I can be back from where you left off. You can also send video to rub, but not in real time, scroll a progress bar, and will jump to the point where you quit.

Clear View With Bigger LCD Screen

The iPod interface is almost identical, and despite the audio podcasts are now under the "music". A new video menu provides access to video playlists, movies, videos, music, video and podcasts. The menu settings video (also on the menu "Video"), you can enable or disable, TV-out, switch between NTSC and PAL format, and rotate the pan and outdoors.

The stopwatch and a screen lock, with the iPod nano are also present, although now may take up to three times on the screen at once, thank you for the biggest LCD screen. In our tests too short, measured 16.5 hours audio playback to the 30 GB model with a real-world mix of MP3 files encoded at 128 up to 320 Kbps. The device is a value of two hours of video playback, but was 2 hours and 25 minutes with several video podcasts and an episode of Lost, including the headphones with volume to hear normally.

May your experience depending on the content, scope, hears, how long did you have your iPod (yes, the batteries lose the ability, over time), working temperature, the playback mode, and the settings of the equalizer. The 60 GB version offers 20 hours audio or video three hours per charge.

iPod With 30 Gb Storage

The new generation of the iPod is born with the emergence of Apple 30 GB iPod Video. Yes, you are right, 30 GB of memory in a mini-form. But the ability, video playback, Apple has the iPod hold on the audio at the moment. Therefore, do not call, video iPod, VPOD, and no matter which states that it is a video player.

This means that the video is very good in the new model with 2.5-inch screen, and the thin, entirely new functions such as the high audio quality stereo recording, it is more flexible than the generations before. Consider now that the 30 GB model for the same price as the previous version 20 GB model, and you have a very impressive.

The new iPod 30 GB is 30 percent thinner than the previous model with 20 GB color, but the height and width are the same. (The 60 GB model is currently about 10 percent thinner than the old model 20 GB). The May does not seem a big difference on paper but were impressed by the new model thin-determine when we have the two side by side. The 2.5-inch LCD backlight, 320 by 240 pixels, is much more important than the previous 220 to 2-inch screen-176.

Apple has also the elimination of the 9-pin remote control in this version, which means that third parties such as Belkin and Griffin, their lines accessories. Apple consideration was that the accessories must have the existing dock connector and not through a second port of property.
