Flipshare TV And Apps of Cisco
On Tuesday, Cisco Systems, makers of the Mino HD high-definition pocket camcorder, announced a companion product that plays captured 720p video on your HDTV: the "Flipshare TV".
This new offering contains three parts: a base station that connects to your TV or HDTV, a remote control and a USB dongle that wirelessly sends videos from your computer to the base station. A program called "Flipshare 5.0" manages your Flip videos and communicates directly with the base station. If you don't own a Flip camcorder or have Flip videos on your computer, other Flip owners can share their videos online through "flip channels" which can then be accessed by Flipshare TV.
Cisco Systems purchased Pure Digital Technologies, the maker of the Flip camcorder, in May. On Cisco's Web site, the unit is referred to as "Flip Video". Read More
